Coliving arrives in Spain

Cohabs, the Belgian coliving company, will open its first coliving building in Madrid in the Tetúan district. The building will have sixteen rooms and has been designed in collaboration with the Ruiz-Larrea Arquitectura office. Cohabs is also developing another 38-room project in the Chamberí district. The company is looking for new assets in the Spanish market

The Belgian company Cohabs will open its first coliving building in Madrid, located at number 8 Marqués de Leis Street, in the Tetúan district. The building will have sixteen rooms and has been designed in collaboration with the Ruiz-Larrea Arquitectura office. In addition to this project, the company is also developing another 38-room project in the Chamberí district. Founded in 2016 by Youri Dauber, François Samyn and Malik Dauber, Cohabs owns and manages the buildings and has more than 1,500 coliving spaces in cities such as Brussels, New York, Paris, Luxembourg and Madrid. The entry of new shareholders enabled it to raise €450 million to accelerate its expansion. In the first half of last year, coliving concentrated an investment of more than 430 million euros according to Cbre data.
